If you are planning a trip to Asia, a visit to Malaysia should be put to the top of your list. Malaysia is a stunning exotic location situated in Southeast Asia. Much of Malaysia is still covered by jungle but it has striking white sandy beaches along its coast making it a perfect location for a holiday.

Malaysia is a country divided into two main regions; the two regions are divided into thirteen states.

The capital city of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur and it is home to the Petronas Twin Towers, one of the world’s tallest buildings that stand at 452m. If you are looking to view the towers its better to see them during the week. During the weekend expect queues. Greeting you once you reach the top of the Petronas Towers is a revolving restaurant.

The warm climate of Malaysia guarantees you sunshine most of the year. Its climate can become very humid with temperatures averaging between 21 and 32 degrees during the year. The wet season is short and occurs between the months of November and February.

When you reach Malaysia there is plenty to do and see. It is home to many tropical species. Jungle trekking in Malaysia is also becoming very popular. Before you go trekking in the rain forests make sure you’re able for it. You can get guided jungle treks in the national parks during the day and night. Some of the coastal areas are the best in the world for Scuba diving. Malaysia has hundreds of islands around its shores making for great diving spots.

Malaysia has many national parks that assist in preserving its flora and fauna in its natural habitat. Its jungles are said to be some of the oldest in the world - they cover two thirds of the Malaysian landscape. Malaysia also has attractive marine parks that protect its fragile coral reefs and sea life.

Malaysia is a very pleasant country to visit and you can be guaranteed a hassle free trip if all your paper work is correct. When visiting Malaysia, tourists must be in possession of a current passport or other internationally recognized travel document which must be valid for more than six months beyond the time of stay.

The minute you arrive in Malaysia you will be greeted with a very special warm welcome. The people of Malaysia are well noted around the world for their kindness and friendliness. Over the last few years Malaysia is fast becoming a great shopping hub and offers great value. Central to this is Kuala Lumpur, also known as KL. Stores usually open early and close late to cater for everyone needs.

The main shopping area in Kuala Lumpur is known locally as the Golden Triangle. This is also the glitzy area of KL with all the main clubs, hotels and restaurants situated there. Many bargains can be had in the markets of Malaysia ranging from crafts to electronics.

Malaysia is rich in fascinating sights and attractions and has a fertile and vibrantly coloured landscape. The people of Malaysia are also warm and friendly making it a perfect spot for a vacation.
